The role of Bellrock
Our role is to advise you on the existence of cover relevant to your business. Our purpose is to arrange adequate, appropriate cover – in consideration of your risk profile and your objectives – that is the most competitively priced in the insurance market.
You must tell us if you are seeking quotations for the same cover from other intermediaries. We will consider whether we can act for you if you are represented by others to insurers. (See our article on the benefits of engaging one, exclusively appointed advisor here.)
There are policies that you must have legally (by statute), contractually (this will depend on what your principals require or what you require your consultants to insure for) and there are ‘other insurances’ which similar businesses to yours, generally carry.
We will request from you all relevant information which we believe is necessary for us to obtain quotes from insurers. Filling out the forms does not compel you to purchase the cover.
Once we have received quotations, we will present recommendations to you. When we do that, we disclose our fees and separately, insurer premiums and statutory charges. There is no cost to you for our services until you instruct us to place cover.
In providing our services we work within our Privacy Policy and under our Financial Services Guide. There are special directions that cover each form that we are asking you to complete. Please read those forms carefully, particularly as regards the operation of any claims made insurance and duty of disclosure and consequences of non-disclosure.
The team at Bellrock is available to assist you. Please do not hesitate to contact us, should you have any queries regarding the information outlined above.
